Richard JorgensenRichard A. Jorgensen is a partner with Jorgensen & Salberg LLP. Mr. Jorgensen’s extensive trial experience includes 100+ bench and jury trials. He has tried to verdict matters involving business disputes, personal injuries, insurance bad faith, employment matters, and premises liability actions. Mr. Jorgensen is a frequent speaker on insurance and litigation issues to health care providers and others.

Mr. Jorgensen has excelled at both the trial and appellate levels. His published decisions include: Ward General Ins. Servs., Inc. v. Employers Fire Ins. Co. (2003) 114 Cal. App. 4th 548, 556, Casella v. Southwest Dealer Services, Inc. (2007, 4th Dist) 157 Cal. App. 4th 1127, and Yassin v. Solis, 184 Cal. App. 4th 524 (2010, 2nd Dist).

Mr. Jorgensen received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from California State University, Fullerton in 1995. Mr. Jorgensen received his J.D. from Chapman University, School of Law in 1998. While at Chapman, Mr. Jorgensen received the American Jurisprudence Award for Corporations, Partnership and Torts II. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, the United States District Court, Central District of California and the United States Tax Court.

Prior to being admitted to the bar, Mr. Jorgensen was a law clerk for the Legal Aid Society of Orange County, where he provided pro bono legal services to the poor and elderly. Mr. Jorgensen was also an associate at Callahan & Blaine, Lee A. Wood & Associates and Veatch, Carlson, Grogan & Nelson, wherein he oversaw a wide range of cases from intake to trial.

Mr. Jorgensen served in the U. S. Army from 1988 to 1991, and is a Gulf War veteran. While proudly serving in the Army, Mr. Jorgensen received a Combat Ribbon (Desert Storm), the Bronze Service Star (Southwest Asian Theatre), the Commendation for Distinguished Service and an Achievement Medal.

Mr. Jorgensen was also an accomplished collegiate wrestler and was a 2-time Big West Scholar Athlete. Mr. Jorgensen was captain of the Cal. State Fullerton Wrestling team from 1994 to 1995. Upon graduation Mr. Jorgensen became an Assistant Coach for the Fullerton Wrestling Team. Along with his many wrestling accomplishments, Mr. Jorgensen was also a Lead in a Nike Super Bowl Halftime commercial.

Mr. Jorgensen is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, and Hispanic Bar Association. Mr. Jorgensen is conversant in German, and was a partner in the famed Westminster Boxing Gym.
